The standard Diamond Defense Ultra-Lite UL 752 Level III solid-core ballistic wood door is engineered to weigh approximately the same as the conventional door it replaces. The replacement-weight design supports closer and hinge longevity, familiar operating forces, safer everyday use, and straightforward integration into schools, commercial facilities, government buildings, and other occupied environments.

Typical Ultra-Lite Level III installations use common commercial-door tools and established installation techniques without specialized lifting equipment or nontraditional methods. A continuous geared hinge helps distribute the door load and reduce hinge-side breach points.

Ballistic wood door configurations are available from UL 752 Level III through Level VIII. Doors may be supplied as solid-leaf assemblies or with B.A.B.S. protected vision glazing, and can be coordinated with veneer, laminate, paint-grade finishes, armored metal framework, factory hardware preparation, and project-specific hardware recommendations.

The Door Sentry System provides a low-profile retrofit alternative for qualifying existing doors. The standard UL Level III configuration is approximately 3/8 inch thick and weighs under 25 pounds.

Numerous custom Door Sentry finishes are available, including removable and interchangeable décor panels. Decorative panels and finish selections do not affect ballistic performance.

Both approaches are selected and configured around the existing opening, required protection level, hardware, code considerations, and desired finish.
