Bullet Resistant Interior Wood Doors

The Ultra-Light Bullet Resistant Wood Veneered door assemblies are custom built and designed to work with existing commercial framework, for applications where ballistic integrity and aesthetics are important.  We use UL Certified Polyethylene and Aramid composite cores, to not only significantly reduce weight but also offer a "non-ricochet" product that is designed to capture and retain the projectile, lessening the potential of random injury or lateral penetration.

Our doors are constructed around an armor core, supported with a high density coated MDF, designed to absorb the kinetic energy and allow the unit to withstand a sustained assault.  The doors are covered with hardwood veneer door skins and edge molding to maintain a natural appearance. Our in-house mill workers are able to match size and style of doors to insure a visual match of the ballistic doors to non-ballistic doors. 

The wood door assembly includes a heavy duty clear anodized aluminum continuous gear hinge and are prepped for cylinder, mortise lockset, or exit device.

• Complete and pre-hung with a heavy duty continuous hinge 
• Available in all protection levels, including armor-piercing. 
• Required hardware preparation is completed prior to shipping based on the customer-provided template.
• All bullet resistant glass configurations and types are available as well as custom door sizes, including double doors. 
• Unfinished face veneers come standard in red oak or birch with all custom veneers and plastic laminates available.
• The core consists of UL 752 Certified Bullet Resistant Aramid and Polyethylene Composites, levels 1-8, with hardened steel added for greater protection requirements.

A Door Manufacturing Specification Worksheet must be completed and submitted with the order. Frames are prepped for hardware that is specified and supplied by others. The customer must provide the hardware template.
