DDS Ballistic Assault Barrier™

The Diamond Defense Assault Barrier is a U.S. Patent Pending (Application Number 18/658,206) Modular Attachment System that is retrofitted to existing glass doors and windows.  The system was designed using proprietary air gap and energy dispersion technology, inspired by some of the same systems currently being used to protect our foreign embassies and armored vehicles overseas. The barrier serves a duel purpose of keeping the glass intact upon impact and delaying entry of would be assailants, allowing time for effective response.  While the system is primarily designed to delay forced entry, it also provides a superior level of protection, protection against extreme weather and offers an increased level of blast mitigation.  

Unlike, with the installation of ballistic glass and reinforced framing, there is no interruption of service or construction considerations and our system can be installed quickly and discreetly in a relatively short amount of time, at a fraction of the cost of traditional ballistic glass.  The system offers superior optical clarity and is designed so the window unit can be broken from the inside and pushed out of the frame, which allows escape options in the event of an emergency.  

The unidirectional design of the system allows engagement from the internal “protected side”, while still maintaining the integrity of the system and providing continued ballistic protection from the “threat side”, giving the tactical advantage to the first responder personnel.  This unique system can be applied to either single or dual pane glass and offers superior ballistic protection on glass panels as thin as ¼”.
